Fall 2003
New & Exciting at Aqua Safaris
As the summer approaches its final days, we encourage you to go
out and get wet! This summer has not offered the typical seasonal
diving conditions. Instead of moderate visibility we’ve experienced
numerous days of 50 feet plus visibility. Generally, the hot, sunny days
bring on plankton blooms which severely impact the clarity of the
water. Even though the days have been warm, our waters have offered
positive conditions. For many of you, this isn’t new news, as you
have been receiving our weekly “Conditions Report“ via
e-mail. If you haven’t received this e-mail, please contact us
and let us know you’re interested and we’ll get you added to the
list. Most divers have found the reports very informative and are
able to use the Thursday report to help plan their weekend. (For
more details on e-mails, see E-MAIL LISTS below).
Aqua Safaris is excited to introduce a new member to our team,
Grant Simpson, who joined us early this summer. If you haven’t met
him yet, please come in and say hello. He’s typically in the water
daily and would love to share the local conditions and spear fishing
stories with you.
A big thank you to Wendy Friant, Cecil Shen, and A.J. Brown for
helping out with the last Instructor course and congratulations
to the three of them for successfully completing the NAUI Instructor
Trainer Course. Their efforts added to this year’s success! Congratulations
also to Sam Magill, Rich Walsh, and Loren Rex, all of whom complete
the course and are now SCUBA Instructors! If you think you or someone
you know would make a good SCUBA instructor, the next class starts
November 21st, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for three weeks, skipping
Thanksgiving. Call David today so you can start getting ready.

Aqua Safaris E-Mail Lists
We have defined special interest groups so that you can receive
e-mails that are of importance to you. Many of our divers have responded
and are reaping the benefits. If you are one that isn’t receiving

in the subject line of your email, type in the key word of the e-mails
you’d like to receive (see key words & descriptions below).

happy to share that the CLUB e-mails will be in operation shortly.
