Tanks

All Aqua Safaris tanks are new from US suppliers and are provided with fresh hydrotesting and visual inspection certification.
Aluminum Tanks
We offer a full range of top-quality aluminum tanks for all diving applications. Sizes range from 6 cu. ft. pony bottles to 100 cu. ft. Aluminum dive cylinders are cheaper than steel, corrosion-resistant inside and out and rated for more tha 100,000 cycles at service pressure. Aluminum tanks have a 3/4-14 neck thread and are shipped with a yoke valve (K-valve). A DIN valve may be substituted for a $49 surcharge. Complete performance specifications are in the Tank Spec Table.

Steel Tanks
We offer a full range of top-quality steel tanks for all diving applications. Sizes range from 65 cu. ft. to 120 cu. ft. Steel dive cylinders are extremely rugged, and many have been in service for decades. They tend to be smaller and lighter weight than the equivalent aluminum tank and are more nearly neutrally buoyant. Steel tanks come in “low-pressure” (LP: service pressure 2400 psi; maximum 2640 psi) and “high-pressure” (HP: 3500 psi) versions. LP tanks are preferred by divers who may have to refill from portable compressors which do not support higher-pressure fills and by the technical diving community for safer mixed-gas fills. HP tanks are lighter and smaller for the sport diver. LP tanks have a 3/4-14 neck thread and ship with a yoke valve (K-valve) while HP tanks have a 7/8-16 neck thread and are shipped with a DIN valve. Complete performance specifications are in the Tank Spec Table.
