Prerequisite: completion of a basic SCUBA class

Seeking new challenges and unique adventures? Want to learn about diving in the Monterey Bay area? Whether you just recently finished you basic SCUBA diving course or you’ve been diving for a while, this class will improve your diving skills and allow you to become a more confident amd proficient diver. This course will provide you with the opportunity to experience diving in new ways and teach you new skills. You will experience night diving, deep diving, hunting and collecting/fish identification, navigation diving, and more. The entire time you are taking part in these new challenges, you will be gaining confidence while an instructor is offering continual guidance and support.

After three weekends of diving, you will have a new certification card that will distinguish you as a skilled diver.

After certification as an Advanced Diver you are invited back to each advanced dive we offer at no additional charge. Let’s go diving!

Class Details

WHO: Anyone ages 12–80+

WHEN: A class begins on the third Sunday of every month. Please call Aqua Safaris at 831-479-4386 for details. Two dives will be completed the first day beginning at 8:00 am. Class will meet the following Sunday and complete two more dives. That Friday the class meets for a night dive. The final two dives will be completed on the next Sunday.

This class can be combined with any of our travel destinations.

CLASS SCHEDULE:
Anyone who signs up has 6 months to complete the 6 required dives - missing a dive in one month, only opens you up to meet more divers the following month!

What’s exciting about the Advanced Class? After the advanced class is complete, divers are invited back to all of our advanced dives. That’s a minimum of seven dives every month. Join our advanced diving club—free for those who have completed our advanced class. Let’s go diving!

NECESSITIES:
As an advanced diver, you will need to have the following gear:

• Dive Knife
• Dive Light
• Chem-Light
• Fish ID Chart
• Log Book

These items are in addition to your basic diving gear (mask, snorkel, fins, gloves, booties, & weight belt). If you don’t already own this gear, we encourage you to come to Aqua Safaris.
