Class Details

WHO: Anyone ages 12–80+

WHEN:
Classes begin four times a month. Aqua Safaris has courses to fit any schedule:

Aqua Safaris offers two weekday classes that begin on either:
• The first Monday 6–9:30 pm (class) and
• The first Wednesday 6–9:30 pm (pool)
or
• The first Tuesday 6–9:30 pm (class) and
• The first Thursday 6–9:30 pm (pool)
and
Two weekend classes beginning
• The third Saturdy 12 noon–8 pm (class and pool on the same day)
or
• The third Sun. 9–12 am and 1–4 pm (class and pool on the same day).

Classes run for four consecutive weeks following the schedules indicated above. The ocean dives for all classes are on Saturday & Sunday 8 am–5 pm following your last pool session. Two additional dives are offered (but not required) on the following Sunday from 8 am–5 pm.

Private classes are also available to meet your schedule: Six three-hour sessions, five ocean dives (only $475.00).

HOW TO SIGN UP:
A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required to register for the class. Sign up now to reserve your space.

NECESSITIES:
Each student is required to provide their own basic gear:

• Mask
• Snorkel
• Fins
• Booties
• Gloves
• Weight Belt
• Weight Belt Clips

We also recommend that each student have their own dive text book, dive tables and log book.

Students should bring the following items to the first class session:

• Final Class Payment
• Notebook
• Pen or Pencil

As an incentive to our students, we offer $50.00 off the rental charge if you buy this basic gear from us. The gear is guaranteed to have the lowest price in Santa Cruz. We can guide you through making the right equipment purchasing decisions without making expensive mistakes. We will spend the time to educate you so you can make the best selection of equipment for your needs.

During the beginning of this class Basic Students should consider purchasing all of their required equipment. This will help to:

• reduce the time it takes to become comfortable in the water—with your own gear you will learn where everything is more quickly
• no need to check out equipment for every pool class
• save a lot of money on rentals—the equipment will quickly pay for itself
• your own gear is more reliable than rental gear
• you can dive whenever you want with your own equipment
• if you purchase your Scuba Package prior to the class ocean dives your rental fee will be refunded
