Come learn how to acquire dinner from the ocean for you and your friends. Tasty treats are available to make the most hearty meal every time you go into the water! Learn how to hunt underwater and still preserve our fragile environment.

In this class you will learn:
• the use of a speargun, pole spear, ab bar and measure, game bag and stringer
• how to fillet a fish
• some recipes for cooking fresh fish
• methods of preserving your catch
• shellfish collecting: scallops, mussels, abalone and lobster
• overview of fish and game laws: why they exist
• basic freediving techniques

This class is a blast and is conducted over one weekend: Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. There will be a dinner party Sunday night and the main course will be fresh seafood! Participants will be asked to bring a dish to share and can invite a friend. This is a great class!

A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required to hold your spot.

NECESSITIES:
For this hunting & collecting class, you will need to have the following gear:

• speargun, ab bar & measure
• at least one tank
• regulator with console and octopus
• BC
• wetsuit or drysuit
• 6.5 mm (or thicker) hood
• dive knife
• whistle
• small slate
• log book

Equipment can be rented at Aqua Safaris for $ 100.00.
