Ice diving is definitely something to experience! Imagine diving under the ice and looking up at light streaming through and people walking above you. It’s really a kick, and it’s not that cold if you use a drysuit—the water under the ice is usually well over 32° F regardless of the air temperature!

Drysuits are optional the same way clothes are optional for skiing in a snow storm. If you are not a drysuit diver a drysuit class is a prerequisite.

If you are interested in diving with us in Antartica, this class is a prerequisite.

The dives are conducted in the Upper Lake Tahoe Area. Please note that in order to dive we need to have a minimum of six inches of ice and less than two feet of snow on top of the ice. The dive schedule may have to be changed according to conditions.

• regulator with console and octo
• BC
• drysuit
• dive knife
• whistle
• small slate
• log book
