is geared to enable you to achieve immediate
results during the first dive. By taking this
class you will save time and film getting it
right from the start. You can take this class
along with one of our exotic warm-water vacations
or here in beautiful Monterey Bay. Classes are
semi-private with flexible schedules. Beginning,
Intermediate and Advanced classes are available
for $399 each. (A $100 discount is available
if you purchase an Aqua Safaris camera system.)
Private Underwater Photography Classes
If you would like a one-on-one instruction
tailored to your individual diving and photography
skills, here’s your chance! Carlo Golino,
professional photographer and owner of Grinning
Moray Graphics, offers private instruction
on underwater photography. You’ll learn
the basic techniques of photography (if required),
how they apply to photography underwater, and
be taken through a comprehensive course on all
aspects of underwater photography (UW photo
equipment, UW macro, UW wide angle, UW strobe
lighting and how to use models). We guarantee
that you’ll have a slide show to share
with the family or friends. Cost is only $599.00
and includes the use of a Nikonos V.
Class Details
WHO:
Divers with more than ~20 dives who have
mastered their basic skills and bouyancy control.
WHEN:
TBA. Private lessons can be scheduled
at any time; group lessons require a minimum
of three people for the class to run.
WHERE:
Aqua Safaris SCUBA Center, pool and
various beach locations in the Monterey/Carmel
area.
COST:
$399.00 per person, group lessons
$599.00 per person, private lessons

- 2 classrooms sessions
- 2 pool sessions

NECESSITIES:
As an UW photography student, you will need
to have the following gear:
- wetsuit or drysuit, tank and regulator (can be rented from Aqua Safaris)
- 4 rolls of color slide film
- Frank Church book on UW photography
- at least one UW flashlight
- log book
These items are in addition to your basic diving
gear (mask, snorkel, fins, gloves, booties,
& weight belt). If you don’t already own
this gear, we encourage you to come to Aqua
