Land-Based or aboard
the Nautilus Explorer
You’ll
be impressed with the size of all the marine
life in the waters in British Columbia. The
largest species of octopus in the world makes
its home in British Columbia. Here’s your
chance to see it, up close and personal! The
sunflower sea star can grow over a meter across
and the white plumose anemones look like small
trees. The unreal size of most of the critters
is attributed to the huge movement of water
that occurs daily. The nutrient rich waters
have a tidal change of 16–26 ft. Many
people make the mistake of giving credit to
the cooler water, but in actuality the water
temperature isn’t much cooler than what’s
in the Monterey Bay.
Aqua
Safaris has been running trips to Vancouver
since 1996 on the Nautilus VII. The Nautilus
Explorer (successor to the Nautilus VII) has
8 cabins with private heads on the main deck
and four bunks on the lower deck. There is a
wonderful sun deck on the top deck and a well
protected heated sitting area on the main deck.
There are rinse tanks for your cameras and a
spacious work station. Diving is done from a
skiff, which makes entries and exits easy and
safe. The Nautilus Explorer offers all the comforts
of home, and the beauty of the Emerald Sea!
Not
only will we do numerous great wall dives, we
will also dive some awesome ship wrecks. A number
of certifications are also available, including:
deep
diving, photography,
rebreathers,
Trimix
and more. Call us and let us know what you’re
interested in.
Don’t miss out on this spectacular liveaboard
dive adventure!
